Robert Burns Night

“But pleasures are like poppies spread,
You seize the flower, it’s bloom is shed;
Or, like the snow-fall in the river,
A moment white, then melts forever.”

Robert Burns (1759-1796) on engraving from the 1800s. Scottish poet and lyricist. The national poet of Scotland.
